Allrighty! So as I promised Im going to take some time and highlight all things Halloween for the next two months. Everything you could need to make your Halloween a little spookier is all right here! So to start things rolling here's a great book, movie, and play!
Ray Bradbury is a master storyteller and has the greatest ablilty to weave a delicate balance between words, mystery, and humanity. My recommendation for this week is his novel, his movie, and his play for "Something Wicked This Way Comes." That's right, he wrote all three versions! While the novel is by far the more superior, all three are equally entertaining and captivating.
The story follows the adventures of two young boys, Jim Nightshade and William Halloway, and the myestrious and sudden arrival of a "dark carnival" one Autumn midnight. Its a great read and to make things even better. Utah Valley University will be presenting the theatrical version of this piece come mid-october.
